The Opportunity

Zayndu Limited (“the Company” or “Zayndu”) substantially improves the economics of indoor agriculture – treating food crop seeds prior to planting and eliminating the use of harmful chemicals.

  • Zayndu uses a process similar to that in fluorescent lights and lightning to kill harmful pathogens on the surface of seeds.
  • This process creates seed conditions that increase germination and plant growth rates, improving crop yields by up to 40%.
  • Zayndu’s approach also eliminates the need for environmentally damaging and costly seed preparation processes, such as bleach baths and drying.
  • Comparative studies demonstrate substantial yield and cost improvements over existing approaches. These translate into a potential 40% profit uplift for growers.
  • Early deployments include the UK’s leading independent seed specialist and plant breeder, a leading global flower seed producer and the world’s largest vertical farm.

The Fundraise
  • £3.1m Series A (pre-money valuation £4.8m)
  • £2.5m already secured, including £2m from leading UK venture investor Foresight Group
  • Up to £550k opportunity remaining for Growthdeck Investors (5.7% stake)
  • Exit targeted from Q4 2028
  • Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) qualifying
